Does anyone else find it tricky to photograph quilts?
Out on the washing line it was too blustery.
And my washing line is some what low. This is great to hang up washing as you don't have to overstretch but not so good if your finished quilt top is 2.1m long.
Any way to cut a long story short I have finished the granny squares quilt top. I need to find a suitable back. I think I'll piece it from the stash. After all this is meant to be an exercise in de-cluttering.
I love the finished quilt top! I'm tempted to try making one of these granny square quilts myself!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's lovely! I've seen a few of these about lately and I love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI have trouble taking quilt pictures too. There aren't many places in my flat where I have decent daylight, and fewer still where I have the space to lay a quilt out flat. The living room floor is my best option, but I don't know what I'll do when I graduate to something bigger than a baby quilt. We do have a balcony but it's too small and too windy to be a good photo option.
I really like this, looking forward to eventually starting my own Granny Square quilt!
